Now Available with 3 TB Drives, the Dot Hill AssuredSAN 3000 Series Delivers Remote Replication and Scalability, with 36 TB of data capacity, in a 2U entry level system.
Dot Hill Systems Corp., a provider of unified virtual storage and SAN storage solutions, has announced availability of tis AssuredSAN 3000 Series storage arrays in 3 TB disk drive arrangements with upgraded AssuredRemote replication features.
According to Dot Hill Systems, it is the first solution to offer 36 TB of data capacity in a 2U entry level system.
Dot Hill AssuredRemote enables disaster recovery protection and business continuity with support for up to 1,000 snapshots per storage array. With the addition of new wizards and scheduler improvements, AssuredRemote is designed to ease setup and management. Through centralized, array-level replication, AssuredRemote offloads backup operations from critical application servers and aids IT managers in complying with such regulations as the HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley acts.
“Dot Hill places a high priority on customer ease-of-use,” says Jim Jonez, the company’s senior director of marketing. “With two AssuredSAN arrays and AssuredRemote replication software, organizations can easily implement an affordable, high-capacity disaster recovery or centralized backup solution.”
Dot Hill AssuredSAN 3000 Series arrays offer support for 8 Gb Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs), 10 Gb iSCSI, and other interface options. In addition, Dot Hill offers midrange capability to its 3000 Series with options such as AssuredRemote data management software for remote replication.
Advanced data management, such as AssuredCopy, which is Dot Hill’s volume copy technology, enabling the creation of independent data volume copies for additional data protection, and Dot Hill’s AssuredSnap (snapshot capability for improved data availability and business continuity) enable SMBs to meet modern data retention policies. The AssuredSAN 3000 systems can scale to a total of 288 terabytes of storage with JBOD expansion units.
A dual controller AssuredSAN 3730 Fibre Channel model populated with new 3 TB drives, is expected to sell for approximately at $15,960.
