TRENDnet, a networking hardware provider, is now demonstrating the first 450 Mbps Dual Band Wireless N Media Bridge, model TEW-680MB, at COMPUTEX Taipei. Aimed for a fall 2011 release, the TEW-680MB networks computers, gaming consoles, televisions, and DVRs to the Internet at 450 Mbps wireless connection speeds.
Features include:
- Four Gigabit Ethernet ports
- Dual Band technology allows the option of connecting to the 2.4 GHz network or the 5 GHz network (when connecting a Dual Band router, the company suggests assigning the low interference 5 GHz band to media center devices, and the 2.4 Ghz band to computers and peripherals)
- External Wi-Fi Protected Setup button connects the bridge at a touch of a button
- WMMZ Quality of Service (QoS) technology prioritizes gaming, Internet calls, and video streams
The 450 Mbps Dual Band Wireless N Media Bridge, model TEW-680MB, comes with a three-year limited warranty and a MSRP of $169.99.
