Paragon Software, a storage software vendor, has launched the Hard Disk Manager (HDM) 11 Server, designed to ease data backup and disaster recovery management for IT departments. Applicable for both physical and virtual Windows server environments, the software suite utilizes partitioning, disk imaging, and system migration technologies for advanced format hard disk drives (HDDs) larger than 2.2 TBs with 4K sectors, as well as solid state drives (SSDs).
HDM 11 Server comes with:
- Virtual add-on component for virtual environments
- Ability to perform bare-metal restores, file-level recovery, advanced data wiping algorithms, and automatic partition alignment
- Data backup or migration of an active server with locked volumes, files, or folders
- Support for 2 TB hard drives, 4K, SSD, and AFD
- Support for GPT conversation capability
- Large drive support for legacy systems
- Automated partition alignment during copy and restore
- Copy and restore functionality with the ability to shrink partitions into smaller drives
- Support for USB 3.0
HDM 11 Server is available for $799 per license, $1298 with the virtual add-on component.
