According to Grandstream, the GXP285 sports broad interoperability with “most of the leading IP PBX, Softswitch platforms, and third-party SIP devices on the market.”

The GXP285 supports a number of advanced telephony features (including hold, mute, transfer, forward, 3-way conference, XML customization of LCD screen, off-hook auto dial, auto answer, click-to-dial, downloadable ringtones, server redundancy, and fail-over support), and security protection (SRTP and AES encryption of configuration file).”

According to Grandstream Networks CEO David Li, the GXP285 offers SMBs and service providers a “next generation single line SIP telephone with HD audio quality.”

Li says, “A key benefit of the GXP285 is its integrated PoE capability that allows centralized power supply with backup.” He adds, “Grandstream always strives to meet market needs with innovative and high quality IP telephony solutions at a price they can afford.”

The GXP285 will be commercially available through Grandstream’s distribution channels at a list price of $95 beginning July 2010.
