The Bee Enters the Cloud-Based Accounting Realm
B2Bee rolls outs its SaaS accounting solution for SMBs. The company’s founder says The Bee provides a simpler alternative to popular accounting software programs.
B2Bee LLC is a Cincinnati-based SaaS provider geared toward SMBs in need of accounting solutions. The company announced The Bee this week. It’s a Web-based invoice and expense management tool.
According to B2Bee, The Bee encourages SMBs to “step away from QuickBooks.”
“Stop pretending you’re a part time accountant,” the company tells SMBs in a statement submitted to EH Publishing.
The Bee provides three core financial tools for SMBs. The tools include cloud-based billing, expense tracking, and profitability tracking respectively.
The Bee is available from GetTheBee.com. Once an account is activated, SMBs can access it via any Web browser to create and send invoices, document, categorize, and track expenses, and produce reports.
B2Bee founder and CEO Scott Miller says many first-time accounting software users end up saying, “Wow, what have I gotten myself into?” For that reason, The Bee aims to provide a simpler alternative, he says.
“Most small businesses owner don’t need a complex piece of software to manage their finances, but in a way, we have been trained to turn to these types of solutions,” Miller says. “We all use bulky pieces of software every day, but we are likely only using a small percentage of their capabilities. For SMBs, all they really need is a simple solution that will help them get paid while managing the money that is coming in and going out of their businesses.”
“I started the Bee because I wanted to make my customers’ lives easier,” Miller says. “For freelancers, small agencies, and other professionals that don’t work with numbers all day, the Bee is all they will need.”
The Bee is available for a free 30-day trial. Thereafter, subscriptions start at $14 per month.
