Asigra Designates CoreVault a ‘3D Hybrid Partner’ for Cloud Backup

The enhanced partner status enables new MSPs to purchase vault license through Asigra and work with CoreVault to host and manage backup.

Asigra Inc., maker of Cloud Backup and other recovery software, has designated CoreVault as a 3D Hybrid Partner.

Status as a 3D Hybrid Partner is the highest partner designation Asigra provides. With this enhanced partner status, new backup service provider entrants can purchase a vault license through Asigra and work with CoreVault to host and manage their backup vault.

“Service providers that leverage Asigra 3D Hybrid Partners maintain complete control of their own backup vaults in order to preserve the customer relationship, ensure operational flexibility, and significantly improve operating margins,” Asigra states in a press release sent to EH Publishing.

Indeed, cloud computing is changing the way technology is adopted and managed by end user organizations, transforming the playing field for channel providers serving these customers. These end-user organizations are demanding more operationally efficient technologies that are delivered in the right format for their business, along with specialized services from a reliable vendor and ecosystem with flexible deployment options. Asigra says CoreVault’s status a 3D Hybrid Partner supports the by providing the infrastructure and expertise for increasing the profitability of cloud backup service delivery.

“Partnering with an Asigra 3D Hybrid Partner lowers the barriers of entry for IT service providers wishing to provide business-class cloud backup leveraging their own vault licenses,” the Asigra press release states, “but without the requirement to build, operate, and support the underlying infrastructure.

Asigra vice president of North American sales Eric Strong says the 3D Hybrid Partner program also enables channel providers without an on-premise backup vault to host cloud backup services through a proven provider like CoreVault. “It maximizes revenue opportunities throughout the Asigra ecosystem of hundreds of global partners by providing the highest level of flexibility in product and service delivery,” he says, “bringing immediate revenue and capturing a greater share of opportunities in the growing cloud backup market.”

“The Asigra Hybrid Partner program, where partners leverage each other in the ecosystem, breaks the mold of traditional channel programs to create true partner synergy that ensures account control and enhanced profitability for partners of any size,” strong adds. “The program’s design reflects Asigra’s absolute focus on the channel as the cornerstone of its business strategy.”

As a 3D Hybrid Partner, CoreVault now offers channel partners who purchase their vault license the following:

  • Cloud backup vault hosting, operations, and support options
  • Vault replication for Asigra partners without a secondary failover site
  • Vault management, Tier I and Tier II 24/7 support desk and pre-sales support
  • SAS 70 Type II certified technology and services

Asigra’s Cloud Backup software serves as the foundation for cloud backup service delivery. Under the Asigra platform, maximum data security is assured with FIPS 140-2 NIST certified software that provides AES 256 data encryption in-flight and at-rest.

The platform has broad interoperability that supports use in nearly any environment and provides restriction-free vault and backup target growth with grid-based scalability to protect the broadest range of application data, including Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, and SQL Server.

With Asigra, backup data is assigned a value that aligns with the cost of protection through intelligent ingestion and automated storage tiering that reduces backup costs. Backup data is globally de-duplicated, compressed and encrypted at customer sites prior to transport over the business-class WAN for performance, security, and efficiency.

Jeff Cato is the vice president of marketing for CoreVault. According to him, his new company’s designation is “a win across the board that provides us with an additional profit center that supports future growth for Asigra and its partner ecosystem.”
