ConnectWise has enabled its professional services automation tools to integrate with Xerox Corp.’s PagePack software. ConnectWise made the announcement this week, citing increased aid to channel pros offering managed print services.
Through the shared interface, resellers who use ConnectWise software can easily now automate data collection, reporting, and invoicing for all of their Xerox PagePack managed print services customers.
“Gartner Research is forecasting double-digit growth in the managed print services sector through 2010,” states ConnectWise in a press release to Channel Pro. “Solution providers must excel at providing MPS if they want to keep pace with forecasted demand.”
ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini cites similar trends. “As market conditions continue driving businesses of all sizes to more closely scrutinize costs,” he says, “managed print services are becoming increasingly attractive. Our new integration with Xerox will help ConnectWise partners deliver these services at attractive price points for the end user, while also giving solution providers a recurring revenue stream for a service that’s nearly effortless to deploy.”
Many SMBs may be unaware of their total printing costs. Moreover, they may be maintaining and operating more copiers, fax machines, and printers than they actually need. Xerox’s PagePack seeks to help resellers optimize their customers’ print environment to cut down on equipment and expenses.
Just as important, PagePack provides channel pros with opportunities for recurring revenues by enabling support and maintenance.
Xerox vice president Jason Oliver says the integration of ConnectWise into the PagePack product provides his company with those channel pros with whom it seeks to partner. “ConnectWise gives us access to a solid base of highly skilled solution providers who can build their own branded MPS capability while taking advantage of the training, services, supplies, software, and support provided through Xerox,” he says.
For its part, ConnectWise says its managed services platform provides the industry with a PSA solution that integrates with leading managed services vendors. “The ConnectWise managed services platform enables VARs to become virtual outsourced IT departments for their SMB clients,” the company states in its press release. “Clients’ needs can be monitored and addressed remotely with exceptional support levels and at considerably lower cost compared to internal IT resources.”
