†Hardware Maker Launches Mini Wireless N Router
TRENDnet says its high-performance 300-Mbps router “the world’s smallest.”
TRENDnet, a wired and wireless networking hardware brand, has made available what it calls “the world’s smallest Kit,” model TEW-654TR.
The high-performance wireless N router is so small that it can fit into a shirt’s front pocket. The 300-Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit comes with the router as well as a carrying case, a thin 3-foot Ethernet cable, an Energy Star-Certified external power adapter, an alternate USB cable to power the router from a computer
The 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router is 2.5 inches wide by 3.25 inches long by 0.75 inches high (6.4 x 8.2 x 1.9cm). It has a reset button, power port, one 10/100Mbps Wide-Area Network Ethernet port, and
an LED display that communicates power and link status. The router features Access Point and Access Point Client modes.
TRENDnet says the product’s “latest in wireless encryption” protects valuable data while the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology “delivers high-speed wireless connectivity and broad coverage that minimizes dead spots.”

As well, it offers features such as Access Point and AP Client Modes that appeal to advanced users.”
The median North American price for the 30-Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit will be approximately $75.
