More than 300 of Ingram’s top channel partners converged in Orlando to focus on demand generation, sales, and partnership.
Ingram Micro Inc. welcomed more than 300 of the IT industry’s top channel partners and executives to its VentureTech Network (VTN) Spring Invitational event in Orlando, Fla., this week. With the economy top of mind, the distributor has focused its 2009 Spring VTN Invitational on three key areas: demand generation, sales, and partnership.†
“We’ve packed the agenda with member-to-member presentations on sales and marketing, roundtable discussions, and interactive business-building ideas and workshops delivered by industry experts who are skilled in ways to identify and create sales opportunities,” says Kirk Robinson, Ingram Micro’s vice president of channel marketing. “Our goal for this event is to ensure our VTN members thrive, despite the economy, and see that there are no boundaries to the value of how VTN can play a part in their continuing growth.”
Headlining the event are two keynote speakers: Sales Scientist Adrian Davis of Whetstone, whose address explains how to overcome sales challenges and reveals three secrets to rapidly growing revenues with customers; and syndicated journalist Jeffrey Gitomer, a New York Times and Amazon.com best-selling author on sales success.†Ingram Micro’s CEO Greg Spierkel will also share his experience on what makes a great business acquisition or merger opportunity, and how Ingram Micro’s partners can be prepared if they choose to pursue an M&A strategy.†
Also on hand are Tiffani Bova of Gartner, Laura Posey of Dancing Elephants, and Ken Thoreson of Acumen Management, who are set to share their latest insights on the state of the market and where and how partners can capture opportunity. Several IT channel chiefs, including Cisco Systems’ Wendy Bahr, HP’s Meaghan Kelly, and IBM’s Harris Warsaw, are also in attendance and eager to engage with the VTN community and present their growth strategies and product roadmaps.
