ThreatQuotient and Bandura Integrate to Simplify Threat Defense

Superior Prioritization of Indicators and Noise Reduction Enables Powerful Security Teams

May 01, 2017 12:06 PM Eastern Daylight Time

RESTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ThreatQuotient, a trusted threat intelligence platform innovator, today announced a strategic partnership with Bandura SystemsÆ to enable security teams to manage and deploy threat defenses with greater effectiveness at a larger scale by combining Bandura’s PoliWallÆ, an inline appliance able to block millions of IP addresses, with ThreatQ’s contextualized threat data.

PoliWall restricts a large percentage of threat indicators from interacting with a client’s environment by leveraging vast threat intelligence repositories, precision Geo-IP blocking, and block-list automation. The ThreatQ platform transforms the way security teams use threat data, translating the information into actionable threat intelligence that is ready for expert human analysis. They combine to mitigate risk ahead of the firewall, prioritize threat data and enable security teams to work faster and more effectively.

“Each day, organizations are confronted with millions of threat indicators,” said Bill McInnis, President of Bandura Systems. “These indicators clog security appliances and put a critical strain on analyst bandwidth. Only by prioritizing the massive amount of threat data available can you begin to turn the tide on this perpetual stream of alerts and take action.”

The combination of ThreatQ and PoliWall automates the vetting of millions of indicators via an enforcement tool, effectively simplifying the actions of the analyst. Analysts will now have the power to identify IPs sent to the PoliWall for an actionable response without having to manually log back into the system. The integration of PoliWall helps ThreatQuotient continue to deliver on its promise to empower the human element of cybersecurity, helping analysts make better decisions and focus on what matters.

“Our goal from the very beginning has been to enable threat operations teams and management by offering them as much information as possible in the pursuit of successful network defense,” said John Czupak, CEO of ThreatQuotient. “We are very excited that the partnership between ThreatQuotient and Bandura has produced an intelligence platform that can vet suspect IP addresses before they even get to the firewall, thereby reducing noise for the analysts.”
