Sungard Availability Services Brings VMware NSX to Hosted Private Cloud Solution for Dell EMC Infrastructures

Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS), a leading provider of information availability through managed IT, cloud and recovery services, announced an expanded partnership with Dell Technologies by introducing a Hosted Private Cloud solution leveraging Dell EMC storage and compute as well as VMware's NSX network virtualization platform.   

For applications and data that organizations can't move to the public cloud, Sungard AS Hosted Private Cloud gives organizations the benefit of single tenant resource control along with added security and performance. It is one of the few Hosted Private Cloud solutions in the market to leverage VMware NSX, which breaks through current physical network barriers to let data centers achieve orders-of-magnitude better agility, security and economics. Sungard AS, Dell EMC and VMware can now provide customers with an offering that delivers the scalability and agility of a cloud with the security and performance advantages of fully dedicated server, storage and network devices. 

Forrester1 expects the market for hosted private cloud to grow nine percent annually over the 2017 to 2022 period. Sungard AS believes that this means companies will look to private cloud offerings from service providers to meet the high levels of performance, control, security and compliance required for their most critical applications.
