It’s a crucial layer though, Fowler adds. In an era of escalating security threats, MSPs need information on everything connected to the networks they’re responsible for, including routers, switches, printers, digital signage displays, and video surveillance cameras, devices that many RMM solutions can neither discover nor administer.
“Asset management is a big part of our message now, because just understanding what’s on these networks that you’re dealing with is critical,” Fowler says. “When I talk about security frameworks, and I talk about regulations, and I talk about all these things that are coming down the path, I know that MSPs will need us.”
