D&H Debuts 'Get Authorized' Tool, Expands Solutions Specialists

The tool speeds the vendor authorization process needed to buy products subject to MAP and UPP restrictions; specialists to provide support for particular verticals, technologies, and solutions. By Colleen Frye

D&H Distributing Co. has rolled out its “Get Authorized” program for resellers. The “Get Authorized” tool is designed to speed the vendor authorization process, which resellers must go through to buy products that are subject to MAP (minimum advertised pricing), UPP (unilateral pricing policy), and similar authorization restrictions.

VARs that wish to sell items covered by these guidelines must undergo a sometimes complex authorization process. With D&H's new tool, eligible resellers need only click a “Get Authorized Now!” button at any point during an online product search or order, and the authorization process is approved instantly. VARs can view and print a list of the different items covered under each vendor authorization plus other key policy details via this method.

In addition, D&H is expanding its Solutions Specialist program to provide more dedicated support on particular vertical markets, technologies, and vendor solutions. D&H's Solutions Specialist Team is a group of subject-matter experts at the disposal of resellers.

New program resources will focus on still-burgeoning areas such as server, storage, and networking. D&H will develop new training and seminar opportunities around these growth areas, including custom-designed presentations to be broadcast through D&H's high-tech Solutions Lab; plus marketing and sales support, targeted trade show sessions, and more. In addition, D&H's vendor partners have offered exclusive content to back the efforts of the team.
