Corsair Announces Mid-Tower Cases
The hardware designer’s Graphite Series 600T is expected to ship by the end of the summer.
Hardware designer and supplier Corsair announced its Graphite Series 600T mid-tower case this week. It’s the latest addition to company’
s line of high-performance computer cases.
The Graphite Series 600T builds on the Obsidian Series 700D and 800D full-tower cases, which are popular among system builders.
With a USB 3.0 front panel connector and heavy duty latches and panels, Corsair says its Graphite Series 600T also sports such “builder-friendly features as optimized airflow and dynamic styling.
Corsair vice president of marketing Jim Carlton talked up the new tower case in a press release to EH Publishing. “The Graphite Series 600T may be a mid-tower on the outside, but inside it offers the features and performance of a full-tower case,” he states. “Whether you are building a system with multiple GPUs, extra-long GPUs, or advanced watercooling, the 600T will accommodate your needs with style.”
Indeed, the Graphite Series 600T incorporates many of the same features found in the Obsidian Series 700D and 800D, including cable management and a large backplate cutout for CPU cooler installation.
“Specific design steps were taken to enable advanced watercooling configurations,” says Corsair–among them, support for a dual 120 mm radiator.
Cooling is addressed by a 200 mm front intake fan with dust-filter as well as two exhaust fans. An integrated fan controller was incorporated to enable flexible control over fans speeds.
The Graphite case supports up to six 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch storage drives. It also accommodates up to four 5.25-inch front-panel devices. The Graphite Series 600T also supports all long graphics card formats, such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 400-series and ATI Radeon HD 5970 and will fit three-way SLI or CrossFireX configurations.
The mid-tower case is expected to be available later this summer from Corsair’s network of authorized distributors and resellers. It will be supplied with a two-year warranty, according to the company.
