Corsair Adds 32 GB and 256 GB SSDs to Its Nova Series
Both drives employ the Indilinx Barefoot controller, and each drive fully supports the TRIM command used by Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems.
Memory-maker Corsair announced this week that it has added two new drives to its popular Nova Series solid-state drives.
The 32 GB Nova Series SSD can be used as a boot drive for basic configurations or in high-performance, multi-drive RAID configurations. The 32 GB Nova Series SSD delivers speeds up to 195 MB/s read and 75 MB/s write.
The 256 GB Nova Series SSD, on the other hand, is ideal for systems that need high-performance and large capacity. †The 256 GB Nova Series SSD is able to achieve speeds of up to 250 MB/second read and 195 MB/second write.
Both drives employ the Indilinx Barefoot controller. Each drive fully supports the TRIM command used by Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems, to maintain optimal performance automatically over the lifetime of the drives.
The 32 GB and 256 GB Nova Series SSDs are available immediately from Corsair’s authorized distributors and resellers. They are backed by a two-year limited warranty. Complete customer support via telephone, email, forum, and Tech Support Express is also available.
