Bradford Networks Launches NAC Security-as-a-Service Offering

The new offering, Bradford.cloud, delivers the same features of the company’s on-premise network access control solution, but in a cloud-based model, with no required hardware or virtual appliance.

Network access control (NAC) innovator Bradford Networks enables secure network access for company-issued and employee-owned mobile devices. This month, the company launched a NAC Security as a Service offering.

Bradford Networks Launches NAC Security as a Service Offering Called Bradford.cloud, the new Security as a Service offering delivers all the same features of the company’s on-premise NAC solution in cloud-based model, with no required hardware or virtual appliance.

Bradford Networks recently hired security-as-a-service veteran Amy Luby to lead its entry into the managed services market. Former principal and founder of Mobitech and the MSP Services Network (MSPSN), Luby has 16 years of experience providing IT services to the enterprise market.†

“Bradford has a unique offering that brings substantial value to MSPs and to their clients,” Luby says. “We have a mature platform, a great team, and a true service offering that is quick, easy, and cost effective for the MSP.”

Bradford Networks CEO Dan Haley says the so-called “bring your own device” (BYOD) trend is affecting all types of SMBs. He adds that a simpler security-as-a-service approach to network visibility†is needed to help more companies adopt NAC.

Typically, SMBs looking to improve network and mobile security and control network access are required to implement an on-site or virtual appliance. As adoption of security-as-a-service models accelerate, “fewer SMBs are willing to accept appliance-based solutions,” states Bradford Networks in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.

Connecting via VPN through private-cloud architecture, Bradford.cloud can be operational within a few hours, providing:

  • Secure, convenient network access for mobile devices in a BYOD environment.
  • Compliance with such regulations as PCI and HIPAA.
  • An inventory of all devices and users in a network environment.
  • Automated network control and provisioning based on role, device type, geography, time of day, and other factors.

The service will be sold exclusively through Bradford’s global network of MSP partners, who have the option to OEM or integrate the solution into their existing suites of network and security service offerings.
