SentryOne Takes Database Management to the Cloud

SentryOne launches cloud solutions, giving data pros innovative ways to accelerate data delivery

November 05, 2019 09:00 AM Eastern Standard Time

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SentryOne today announces the general availability of SentryOne Cloud, a suite of solutions that brings fresh design and a streamlined experience to data professionals managing increasingly complex DataOps environments. SentryOne Cloud gives data managers easy access to the information they need to accelerate delivery of business-critical data.

“With the availability of SentryOne Cloud, we are doubling down on our commitment to cloud database workloads. But we won’t stop with that, we’ll continue innovating with our cloud solutions to give data professionals even greater control and ease of use.”

“We know from listening to our customers that they are under increasing pressure to be more data-driven,” said Greg Gonzalez, SentryOne founder and Chief Technology Officer. “Our new SentryOne Cloud products give data professionals an intuitive way to manage and deliver database performance with responsive dashboards and an easy-to-use interface that they can access from anywhere.”

SentryOne Cloud, which includes solutions for optimizing database performance, data testing, and automatically documenting databases, expands the deployment options for data managers who manage cloud-first, cloud-only, and hybrid data systems.

SentryOne Cloud includes the following:

SentryOne Monitor—The most powerful, scalable SQL Server monitoring in a cloud solution that makes database performance management easy.

SentryOne Document—Automated database documentation, enterprise data dictionary, and data lineage analysis in an easy-to-access, easy-to-manage cloud solution.

SentryOne Test—An automated framework for testing and validating data-centric applications to reduce the risk of business decisions being based on inaccurate information.

Together, these products give data professionals a comprehensive database performance solution that delivers benefits that are inherent in the cloud, including ease of access, ease of management, frequent and easy updates, and convenient subscription pricing.

Joseph Fleming, a senior consultant with SentryOne partner StraigthPath SQL, said that SentryOne Monitor makes it significantly easier to get database monitoring up and running and to share results with his team.

“Instead of having to set up client access for each team member, you can give them a web link, and they can go in and immediately see what’s happening with database performance,” he said.

The introduction of SentryOne Cloud reinforces the SentryOne commitment to helping data professionals optimize their data systems for peak performance and DataOps efficiency.

“Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Microsoft data professionals and their customers,” said SentryOne Chief Strategy Officer Douglas McDowell. “With the availability of SentryOne Cloud, we are doubling down on our commitment to cloud database workloads. But we won’t stop with that, we’ll continue innovating with our cloud solutions to give data professionals even greater control and ease of use.”

Data professionals attending PASS Summit this week can stop by the SentryOne booth #206 or schedule a time for a demo of the SentryOne Cloud.
