The Distributor Takes the Lead in the Varsity eSports Space, Aligning Resources and Organizing VARs to Outfit University Teams, Plus Contributing to a Panel at the 2nd Annual NACE Conference

HARRISBURG, PA – July 16, 2019 – Major North American technology distributor D&H Distributing announces it is expanding its commitment to the emerging eSports category, aligning resources and manufacturer partners to help resellers and MSPs take advantage of opportunities in this market. As a leading destination for this nascent category, D&H will connect college teams with trusted reseller and managed service provider partners who can outfit those eSports organizations with cutting-edge equipment.

The distributor has built a formidable line-up of eSports brands and solutions that encompasses systems, displays, components, and accessories from:

  • Acer (Predator)
  • ASUS (ROG)
  • Dell (Alienware)
  • HP (OMEN)
  • Intel Lenovo (Legion)
  • Kingston (HyperX)
  • LG Logitech
  • Poly
  • Samsung
  • Sennheiser
  • Thermaltake
  • ViewSonic

D&H Distributing will attend the 2019 2nd Annual NACE Convention (The National Association of Collegiate eSports) on July 17 to 19 in Harrisburg, PA, at Harrisburg University, home of the 2019 ESPN Collegiate eSports Overwatch Championship Team, “Storm.” D&H Co-president Dan Schwab will participate in a keynote panel discussion the evening of July 17. The session will explore technology trends in the gaming sector and the exponential growth of eSports at the college level.

The distributor will be located at booths #7, 8, and 9 at the NACE event, where it has invited HP to spotlight this manufacturer’s high-performance OMEN gaming PCs. Other partners at the D&H booth include ASUS, Logitech, and Thermaltake.

D&H has taken the lead in this emerging space, helping to support Pennsylvania’s first collegiate eSports team with Harrisburg University and the nearby Whitaker Center in 2017. Team members from the Storm visited D&H’s Harrisburg corporate headquarters on July 15, 2019, where players convened with D&H’s employee co-owners, took part in a Q&A with D&H partner representatives, and discussed real-world equipment needs and technology preferences both on campus and during multi-player arena competition.

The distributor helped to establish an eSports arena for the Storm at the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg in 2018, bringing HP into the project to help equip the space. The distributor will continue to serve as a one-stop source for the highest quality gaming gear and software, developing new opportunities for resellers to profit from this high-potential niche.

“We’ve been witness to an explosion in the eSports category. Collegiate gaming has escalated to where students have received full scholarships and earn national recognition,” said D&H’s Dan Schwab. “As the segment matures, D&H will serve as the go-to destination for these innovative brands and solutions. Products run the gamut from high-speed processing and video cards, to video walls and large-scale signage, sophisticated gaming headsets, power solutions, networking products, and a host of components that deliver the competitive edge required for eSports teams to excel. This represents a significant opportunity for savvy resellers looking to add revenues in the K-12 and higher education markets.”

Interested solution providers can contact their D&H representatives at (800) 340-1001, visit, or email for information on D&H’s eSports offerings.
