System builders and networking pros can conserve rack space with the new 1U Rackmount Fiber Shelf (Model JPM427A) from Black Box.
The IT solutions provider is offering the fiber shelf with three snap-in fiber adapter panels and two sets of cable management rings.
The shelf will also hold an optional splice tray. It slides out for easy to the terminations. Rail stops prevent the tray from being pulled out too far and damaging fiber splices.
In addition to the JPM427A, Black Box has also introduced a Mini Splice Tray (Model JPM441A) that mounts inside the 1U Rackmount Fiber Shelf. It can hold up to 12 strands of single-mode or multimode fiber cable.
“To economically extend fiber runs to a remote area of your facility or in areas where you don’t need security, choose the new Mini Wallmount Fiber Enclosure (JPM399A),” adds Black Box in a press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB. The new compact 6-inch by 6-inch box holds one adapter panel.
To accompany the new enclosures, Black Box has also introduced standard and high-density Fiber Adapter Panels (JPM450 and JPM460 series). The panels feature bronze or ceramic sleeves and are available with a variety of fiber couplings. †
