Cloud-enabled hosting, managed applications, and services provider NaviSite Inc. has introduced new self-service storage features, designed to enable SMBs to access and manage data.
The new features have been added to NaviCloud’s AppCenter cloud management portal. They include:
- Self-Service VM Backup — This feature is designed to provide quick and simple data protection for virtual machines. SMBs can schedule de-duplicated VM backups. They can also access backed-up server images for complete recovery.
- NaviCloud NAS — Using a point-and-click interface, SMBs are able to create NAS appliances for storing and serving files. NaviCloud NAS can be attached to VMs via CIFS or NFS connections, which provide greater storage capacities with lower costs compared to SAN alternatives.
“We are continuing to add visibility, control, and self-service features to NaviCloud’s AppCenter Management Portal,” explains NaviSite CTO Denis Martin. “The new self-service storage provides customers with improved scalability and performance while enhancing their business continuity storage solutions.”
