Catalyst Telecom, the distributor’s sales unit, created the Web-based tool in order to help resellers “expedite the quoting process” and spend “less time on pulling pricing.”
Catalyst Telecom, the sales unit for IT distributor ScanSource, has unveiled an offering for channel partners aimed at assisting them in selecting products and generating quotes for SMB clients.
The new FastQuote solution is available via the Web, with a simple interface. Resellers are presented with “straight-forward qualifying questions,” according to Catalyst Telecom, in order to lead channel pros to a customized budgetary quote. The tailored quote is then delivered with the reseller’s logo and contact information.†
Reports can be produced to monitor several different criteria, including closure rates, quotes in progress, and opportunity/lead status.
FastQuote is accessible from mobile devices, enabling resellers to create quotes in mobile or virtual environments.
FastQuote is currently available to create quotes for Avaya IP Office solutions.
“Now more than ever, resellers need to find ways to make the sale quicker,” explains John Gaillard, Catalyst Telecom’s vice president of sales. “And with FastQuote, resellers are able to expedite the quoting process, enabling them to spend more time on closing the sale and less time on pulling pricing.”
FastQuote also provides VARs with the means of turning a quote into a full configuration via Catalyst Telecom’s Configuration Tool. Through the Configuration Tool, the solution can be modified or have other complementary products added to it. The Configuration Tool enables resellers to configure complete solutions from 19 of Catalyst’s 19 vendors; it configures complete solutions, from the phone system and networking products to wireless solutions and complementary products.
