Lenovo has launched the LS Series of monitors for SMBs. The LS Series offers touch-enabled navigational control on large screens, ideal for Lenovo’s series of ThinkCenter Edge desktops. Lenovo has also introduced the new ThinkCentre Edge 71 desktop, designed for mainstream SMB users.
The ThinkCentre Edge 71 comes with Intel Core i7 Quad Core processors and Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7. The desktop comes with a large storage capacity of up to 1 TB and up to 8 G DDR3 memory. The ThinkCenter Edge 71 is also equipped with a DVD player/burner, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB ports, security via USB port disablement, and HD password protection in BIOS. It also comes with Lenovo’s suite of ThinkVantage Technologies, including Rescue and Recovery, Power Manager and System Update. Lenovo also offers IT support with ThinkPlus Priority Support.
The Lenovo LS monitors offer a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, yet still exceed the requirements for Energy Star and TCO 5.0. The LS2221 comes 21.5″ wide, and the LS2421p comes 23.6″ wide. The LS2221 wide comes with VGA and DVI connections for displaying digital video, while the LS2421p offers VGA and HDMI outputs, plus a four-USB port hub and up to 300 brightness level. The monitors are equipped with capacitive touch buttons for a clean and minimalistic appearance, tilt stand, slim bezel design, and the same three year warranty available on the premium ThinkVision monitors.
Pricing for the Lenovo LS2221 wide and the LS2421p wide monitors is $229.99 and $299.99, respectively, available through partners and Lenovo.com. The ThinkCentre Edge 71 desktop starts at $369, available in October through partners.
