Kaspersky Lab, an endpoint security vendor, has signed a U.S. distribution agreement with Ingram Micro. According to Kaspersky Lab, this deal is to drive a deeper relationship with VARs and systems integrators, as Kaspersky Lab is 100 percent committed to the channel.
Under the new agreement, the Ingram Micro Advanced Technology Division and the Networking/Security Business Unit will market, sell, and support the Kaspersky Open Space Security line of corporate security products. This line offers end-to-end protection and unified protection across the entire network for a broad range of end users. Kaspersky also offers products supporting the latest versions of operating systems and applications for businesses, along with support for virtualization and hierarchical data storage.
Kaspersky Lab has always sold through the channel and has pledged in the past to never make a direct sale. This new agreement allows Kaspersky Lab to serve a broader range of SMBs and enterprises while creating opportunities for partners who worked exclusively with Ingram Micro and couldn’t sell Kaspersky Lab software until now.
