SysAid Technologies, a IT service management provider, has launched SysAid IT 8.0. According to the company, this is the world’s first fully mobile help desk and asset management software, with this version highlighted by a new password services module and extended remote control capabilities.
SysAid IT 8.0 supports leading mobile platforms as well as iPad 1 and 2, and all tablets running on Android, BlackBerry, and Windows 7 OS. The 8.0 version was developed to optimize the existing software for use on a mobile device, according to Israel Lifshitz, founder and CEO of SysAid. This version allows administrators to remotely control desktops from any browser on any device. The new release also includes SysAid’s iPhone 2.0 app.
The new Password Services Module allows end users to self-reset their passwords and/or unlock network accounts, reducing the number of password service requests submitted. IT administrators are then more available to tackle complex tasks, saving company time and money.
Administrators can use SysAid IT 8.0 to conduct an automatic scan of the network and inventory using Windows Machine Interface (WMI), and includes an advanced asset management dashboard to view and track all hardware, software and incidents.
