Super Micro Computer, a server and green computing provider, has added a new product line to its Embedded Server Building Block Solutions series. The series is designed to be used to build high-performance and energy-efficient systems for specific applications. Optimized with the Intel 2nd Generation Core product family and Intel QM67 Express Chipsets, the X9 embedded product delivers 25 percent higher performance. True to Supermicro’s commitment to green computing, the product also lowers power consumption over the previous generation.
The platform provides PCI-E 2.0 x16 support and power savings, as well as remote management, security, and a DC power option. Ideal for embedded applications, such as multi-display digital signage, multi-channel digital surveillance, expandable I/O industrial control, and long life medical instrumentation, it offers high CPu and graphics performance in a mini-ITX form factor.
The product, among others, can be seen at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, Calif., from today until Thursday, May 5th. Supermicro will also debut the X9SCV-Q Mini-ITX embedded server, which supports:
