Kerio Technologies has launched the Kerio Workspace, a single space for teams to bring together documents, files, notes, discussions, and multimedia content. According to Scott Schreiman, CEO, Kerio Workspace sits firmly between document management platforms and on-premise or cloud-based file shares and aims to promote team collaboration.
Accessed via any web browser, Kerio Workspace gives teams one place to store project notes, ideas, policies, memos, files, or conversations and enables teams to organize projects and content. Some teams will use it as a central repository for files with commented version control. Others will opt for a more rich experience where files play a secondary role to creating, sharing, and storing content directly on Web pages.
Kerio Workspace also provides News Feeds, which enables contributors to notify their colleagues about the scope and nature of any change made. News Feeds is available through the Workspace interface or via an email alert.
Designed for teams, workgroups and SMBs, Kerio Workspace offers these features and capabilities:
- File organization – Upload and organize text, office files, video, and more into dedicated sections, making content easier to locate, access and share.
- Content sharing – Securely share text, images, video, and files with the ability to set appropriate access controls so authorized colleagues can edit the pages while others can only view them; quickly locate content via the search tool.
- Document editing – No need to download before editing a file, simply click on a file context menu to open the file in its native application. When closed, the file will automatically save changes.
- Track changes – Review comments and track process from contributing team members. The news feed option gives users the ability to receive email notification of updates in real-time.
- iPhone and iPad compatible – View Kerio Workspace on the iPad and the iPhone in an optimized for the smaller screen version, and read content on the go.
Kerio Workspace is currently available in 16 languages from authorized Kerio partners and resellers. Pricing starts at $150 for a 5-user license. Additional user licenses are $30 each.
