Visual Process Management provides SMBs with a new visual method for documenting and managing business processes via a network server.
Software developer SmartDraw Software announced this week a new solution for documenting and managing business processes.
The new solution, Visual Process Management (VPM), presents SMBs with a visual method for documenting and managing business processes. The solution leverages SmartDraw Software’s SmartDraw VP to create a VPM collection. According to SmartDraw, collection is stored on an SMB’s network server for a model that links each process with “the position that is responsible for executing it and managing it.”
“We have created a completely new, visual way to document and manage your business processes that uses the innovative visual processor technology provided only by SmartDraw VP,” explains SmartDraw Software CEO Paul Stannard. “I believe that Visual Process Management (VPM), because it is so easy to implement and is used by employees every day, is a revolution in process description that will lower costs and improve the efficiency of virtually every person in every business worldwide.”
In a statement submitted to Channel Pro-SMB, SmartDraw says, “VPM is different than traditional process documentation in that, instead of binders of documents on a shelf, it creates a collection of hyperlinked visuals that anyone in the organization can easily navigate, like a web site.”
As a result, the company says, the collection can be shared seamlessly, accessed universally, and updated easily.
