Tech Data Corporation, an IT distributor, has created new business divisions for HP and networking products, including enhanced channel partner support.
The HP Solutions Division will coordinate all of the company’s sales, marketing, technical, and supply chain management operations supporting the HP product portfolio, and also bolster company support of its HP channel partners. HP is Tech Data’s largest vendor partner and represents 28 percent of net global sales.
The Networking Solutions Group is designed to optimize channel partner opportunities in new networking technologies, particularly data center convergence and unified communications. It will be part of Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) Division. AIS also includes the Cisco Solutions Group, the IBM Solutions Group, the Software Solutions Group, and the Storage Solutions Group.
