CallTower and InterCall Team Up on Unified Communications Offering
Companies aim to provide SMBs with a solution that does not require “expensive hardware and infrastructure investments, long and complex deployments, or ongoing support.”
CallTower is a Foster City, Calif.-based unified communications as a service (UCaaS) provider. This week, it announced a partnership with conferencing services provider InterCall. The partnership creates a combined unified communications solution.
Under the agreement, both companies will offer the new solution.
The combined solution aims to provide SMBs with unified communications “without expensive hardware and infrastructure investments, long and complex deployments, or ongoing support and upgrade concerns,” states CallTower in a press release to EH Publishing.
“Many SMBs are very interested in unified communications from a productivity and cost-savings standpoint,” says InterCall executive vice president of unified communications services Bob Wise, “but they are intimidated by the prospect of hardware expenses, complicated implementations, and day-to-day management requirements.”
The combined solution from InterCall and CallTower, he says, provides “cost-effective, easy-to-deploy, and scalable unified communications services that meet the needs of that market.”

InterCall will bundle CallTower’s solution with its audio conferencing along with custom options. As a fully hosted solution, the company’s say, customers can leverage all the benefits of UC without upfront capital expenditures and additional support staff.
