Arrow ECS Receives Certification to Provide Training for Microsoft Learning Solutions
Learning Solutions is the seventh Microsoft competency attained by Arrow ECS.
Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions has been named a certified partner for Microsoft Learning Solutions in North America.
Arrow, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc., is a longtime Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, offering Microsoft product knowledge and professional services in six competencies:
- Small Business Specialist
- Security Solutions
- Advanced Infrastructure Solutions
- Networking Infrastructure Solutions
- Information Worker Solutions
- Unified Communications Solutions.
Now receiving its seventh competency around Learning Solutions, Arrow ECS will offer training courses for select Microsoft solutions. These courses are generally five days in length and teach the knowledge and skills to plan, deploy, and configure solutions with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Configuration Manager 2007, and Microsoft Operations Manager 2007.
†”We are proud to add Microsoft Learning Solutions to our portfolio,” says Lee Fawcett, vice president of professional services for Arrow ECS’ Alternative Technology Group. “Resellers can now leverage our consulting and implementation services, help-desk services, and vendor-authorized training to offer a comprehensive portfolio of Microsoft professional services to their clients.”
Allison Wattson, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of the worldwide partner group, says that being trained in Microsoft Sharepoint, Exchange and Systems Center, and Arrow ECS enables its resellers “to offer a complete portfolio of professional services to their clients.” She adds, “These classes will enable channel partners and their clients to optimize and better manage their Microsoft server infrastructures and Microsoft-based unified communications environments in order to reduce costs and maximize return on investment.”
Arrow ECS’ Microsoft Exchange courses are aligned closely with learning paths that lead toward earning Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT (information technology) Professional (MCIP) certification.
Classes start in September 2009 and are immediately available to resellers for open enrollment at one of Arrow ECS’ training locations throughout the United States and Canada. Also, resellers can host a class at the location of their choice.
Resellers can learn more about Arrow ECS’ Microsoft courses, as well as other vendor-authorized training programs, pricing, locations and current class schedules available through the Alternative Technology Group, by visiting its Web site.
