Speaking this morning at Microsoft’s annual partner conference, channel program leader Gavriella Schuster (pictured) offered further details on the dramatic steps Microsoft is taking to become an easier company to build, market, and sell solutions with.

In an announcement timed to coincide with Microsoft’s partner conference this week, the distributor introduced new services aimed at helping resellers design, build, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions.

The acquisition is the first step in what Arcserve describes as a 12-month process to build the industry’s first “disaster avoidance” solution for mid-market companies with both hybrid cloud and cloud-only deployment options.

The new offering allows third-party software makers like early adopters Datto and Dropbox to publish automated “runbooks” that help MSPs quickly adopt standard, proven operating procedures for their products.

The distributor will add editions of its recently introduced hosted SMB network-in-a-box that include the Microsoft 365 Business suite as soon as that freshly unveiled product enters general availability this fall.

Called One Commercial Partner, it brings all of Microsoft’s partner resources together in one place and is backed by $250 million in new investments and a new set of embeddable cloud-based services for Azure software developers.
