When you’re reading this, ChannelPro will have just turned 19 years old. That’s a sentence that still makes me stop for a second.
Nineteen years is a long time in any industry. In IT, it’s several lifetimes. Over that stretch, we’ve seen technologies come and go, business models rise and fall, and more buzzwords than I care to count.
In 2007, ChannelPro’s launch year, Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone to the world and Microsoft launched Vista. Many drivers relied on printed MapQuest directions, and I was parting my hair. Sigh. Those were heady days.
Since then, we’ve weathered economic cycles, industry shakeups, and plenty of game-changing moments. Throughout, our mission to help MSPs do their jobs better has not changed.
Special Report: Resources for Your MSP
The ChannelPro Special Report Edition 1, 2026, is a snapshot of our mission today. In this issue, you’ll find practical guidance on running a healthier business, including:
- Managing cash flow
- Preparing for client crises
- Building stronger case studies
- Insights on edge security and recovery planning
- Research-driven perspective on the trends shaping the channel
It’s not just theory; it’s advice meant to be used.
Top IT Channel Brands of 2026
We’re also proud to feature our second annual Brand Preference Guide. This is one of my favorite projects. It’s built entirely on real-world MSP feedback, not marketing claims or analyst spin.
About 400 MSP leaders weighed in on vendors and distributors that truly deliver partner support, solution reliability, and peer recommendation. It’s a clear-eyed look at who will show up, perform, and support MSP growth.
Building on that data, this issue also features our 2026 Channel Choice Awards, recognizing the top vendors who scored in the highest percentile across all three categories. We’re happy to spotlight these companies as the best of the channel.
The Future We’re Building With You
Looking back on the past 19 years, I feel gratitude. Looking ahead, I am energized. Our team is ready for the next chapter, covering the news, products, trends, and people that help MSPs succeed.
Thank you for reading, for trusting us, and for sticking with us. We’re proud to carry on together into the future.
Oh, if you have a new unused first-gen iPhone in a drawer somewhere, they are going for between $30,000 and $60,000 at auction.
