DLT Solutions to Offer Pulse Secure Cybersecurity Solutions for Secure Access to Public Sector

Partnership to accelerate channel growth and help government organizations and critical infrastructure operators fortify hybrid IT defenses and progress Zero Trust access controls

Pulse Secure, the leading provider of software-defined Secure Access solutions, announced that DLT Solutions, the premier government solutions aggregator, has added the Pulse Secure suite of hybrid IT Secure Access solutions to its cybersecurity portfolio. The partnership will leverage DLT Solutions’ extensive experience and partner network in the public sector to bring Zero Trust access capabilities to state, local, education, defense, and intelligence agencies.

A Zero Trust model authenticates, authorizes and verifies users, devices, applications and resources to fortify access to federal networks and sensitive data. Beyond leveraging existing authoritative identity sources and access ecosystems, it encompasses: enforcing identity, device and security state before and during a transaction; applying a least privilege access closest to the entities, applications and data; extending intelligence to allow policies to adapt to changing requirements and conditions; continuous resource segregation, and the means for dynamic access gateway provisioning.

Federal organizations are being directed to sustain a continuous, context-aware and responsive security agenda for endpoint and access compliance. This places a greater burden on agencies to assess their readiness capabilities to adhere to evolving NIST guidelines. Pulse Secure helps meet these challenges with its comprehensive, integrated and highly interoperable Secure Access solution portfolio for hybrid IT environments that allows public sector organizations to realize operational efficiency while progressing Zero Trust capabilities.

Pulse Secure’s Access solutions deliver situational intelligence, protected connectivity, and threat response while enabling optimized user experience. The approach streamlines compliant access for end users and single-pane-of-glass management for administrators. Organizations can centrally manage Zero Trust policy to secure access to applications, data, and services that are delivered on-premise or in private and public cloud environments.

The company’s Access Suite comprises VPN and cloud access, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Single Sign-on (SSO), endpoint and IoT device visibility, Software Defined Perimeter (SDP), Network Access Control (NAC) and virtual Application Delivery Controller (vADC) solutions.

Specifically,†Pulse Secure helps government organizations:

  • Comply with the growing number of NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework guidelines applicable to network access control (NAC) and remote access regulations
  • Address adherence to 802.1x (IEEE) and Layer 2 Switch STIGs
  • Support Comply to Connect and Command Cyber Readiness initiatives
  • Augment current network and cloud access controls to align with Zero Trust frameworks
  • Centrally manage an easy-to-use VPN and NAC/802.1x solution for wired, wireless and remote connections with flexibility for physical, virtual and cloud deployment
  • Gain extensive access insight with means to dynamically discover, classify, segregate and monitor remote and internal endpoints and IoT devices
  • Preserve user experience and support a range of CAC/PIV smart cards and certificate handling

“As federal organizations take further advantage of hybrid IT, orchestrating remote and on-premise access protection, endpoint compliance, IoT security, and application resiliency becomes more challenging to orchestrate for our public sector clients,” said Justin Barney, chief revenue officer for Pulse Secure. “We are excited to have DLT Solutions as a partner to help us expand our federal market footprint and make is easier for agencies to acquire our industry-leading Secure Access solutions.”

“Government organizations are advancing IT delivery and capacity while seeking to incorporate Zero Trust controls to better defend their missions against cyber threats and to comply with evolving compliance mandates,” said Chris Wilkinson, senior vice president of sales for DLT. “Pulse Secure—a proven leader with a Secure Access focus and an established presence in government—will be enthusiastically welcomed by our customers and partners.”

Certifications and Standards

Pulse Secure has been extensively deployed in federal, military and supporting contractor applications and complies with mandatory standards. The company was the first to achieve Common Criteria Certification for its NAC and VPN solutions. In addition, the solutions have attained FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification and are certified on the U.S. DoD Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) and for JTIC joint warfighting IT interoperability.

The company’s Secure Access solutions have been applied to address: 802.1X port-control and DISA STIGs, NIST’s Risk Management Framework (RMF), Comply to Connect standards, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI), Host-based Security System (HBSS), DFAR 252.204-7012 assurance and IoT security initiatives.
