The ‘Datto Node’ is aimed at MSPs and promises to provide content relating to technology trends, advice, and assessments.
Business continuity hardware provider Datto Inc. has launched a blog. It went live this week with its first blog post, titled “The Datto Node: A Blog for MSPs, VARs and the Channel.”
According the company, the blog’s purpose is to “cultivate a two-way dialogue” with its partners and the channel.
In a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB, Datto says its new blog will feature posts from various employees. The posts will cover a range of topics relating to industry news and trends, sales and marketing tips, hardware assessments, and more.
“With over 60 percent of the population currently using social media, it’s safe to say that blogging is a great way to connect with your audience,” says Datto CEO Austin McChord. “Blog readers grew by nearly 50 percent this past year, and I think MSPs and VARs are willing to deepen their relationship with channel vendors through social media.”
In its statement, Datto says that it plans for McChord to “post a video blog every Friday answering questions submitted by people in the channel.” These questions will not be limited to Datto products and services, the company says. Questions can be submitted via e-mail sent to email@example.com.
