The log file software for SMB compliance has been redesigned for improved usability and has been stocked with with pre-packaged reports organized by government and industry regulation.
Network management software innovator Ipswitch Inc. has released the latest iteration of its log management software, WhatsUp Log Management. The latest version, v10, is designed to be easier to use, more intuitive, and more comprehensive than its predecessors.
To help make the compliance aspects of small businesses more manageable, WhatsUp Log Management v10 provides over one hundred pre-packaged reports organized according to government and industry regulations. This is designed to enable IT managers of SMBs to quickly select the reports necessary for their specific business need. These reports are then compressed and delivered to secure directories in accordance with FIPS 140-2 cryptographic standards to prevent unauthorized viewing.
“With WhatsUp Log Management v10, SMBs can ensure compliance across systems, secure their network perimeter with comprehensive Syslog support, monitor end-user activity to quickly detect internal threats, and protect key assets in a cost effective manner,” says Ennio Carboni, president of Ipswitch’s Network Management Division. “Through protecting log files with FIPS 140-2 hashing, we allow businesses to make use of log data and in cases where needed, prove that their logs haven’t been tampered with and remain compliant.”
Features of WhatsUp Log Management v10 include:
- Event Archiver chronicles Syslog messages directly to ensure robustness in even the most heterogeneous environment
