Polycom RealPresence Ready is a comprehensive open video collaboration product optimized for SMBs. Traditionally thought of as for enterprises and big budgets only, Polycom is trying to bring videoconferencing to an affordable level for SMBs, who have the same video needs as enterprises.
The Polycom RealPresence Ready is fully backward and forward compatible with any communications system that existing SMB customers have or may purchase in the future. The complete system includes two Polycom HDX 6000 room systems, one Polycom HDX 7000 system, and five Polycom Telepresence m100 software licenses. Using Polycom UltimateHD, Polycom video consumes up to 50 percent less network bandwidth than comparable products, thanks to H.264 coding and compression technology. Designed for SMBs both in size and budget, the cost to finance is comparable to the cost of one business trip per month.
Further proving its commitment to the SMB, Polycom has is also offering the BroadSoft BroadCloud Video service. This cloud-based hosted infrastructure integrates with existing service provider offerings to create more video conferencing service-option packages for SMBs.
