Motive Systems Rolls Out M-Files for Salesforce CRM
The cloud-based document management solution is now fully integrated with Salesforce CRM, making “documents an integral component of the CRM system.”
Motive Systems’s M-Files for Salesforce CRM is now available for deployment on AppExchange 2. The cloud-based document management solution is deeply integrated with Salesforce CRM, and it is build using the cloud-computing platform Force.com.
Motive Systems is the developer of such document management software and cloud-based solutions as M-Files and M-Files Cloud Vault. Like other Motive Systems solutions, the new M-Files for Salesforce CRM keeps SMBs from having to purchase or configure a server.
M-Files for Salesforce CRM is also available as an on-premise solution for those companies with vast numbers of documents that might otherwise make cloud storage cost-prohibitive (as well as for those with specific security policies that require documents remain stored behind the company firewall).
“Salesforce CRM has revolutionized how businesses of all sizes manage their customer relationships,” says Motive Systems president Greg Milliken, “but since CRM systems are not designed to handle documents, this critical aspect of the process often becomes cumbersome and inefficient, making the CRM system far less productive than it could be.”
Milliken adds, “M-Files for Salesforce CRM makes documents an integral component of the CRM system, resulting in increased sales and service team productivity and maximizing the businesses’ investment in CRM. We call this document-driven CRM, and we’re making it affordable and accessible to all Salesforce CRM users.”
The interface between Salesforce CRM and M-Files is bi-directional. When customer information is added to Salesforce CRM, it is automatically replicated in M-Files and can be tagged (or attached) to any document as a property of that document. For instance, when creating a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, AutoCAD drawing, etc., using the application’s standard save command, one can simply save directly to the vault and tag the document with an account, contact, or case in the Salesforce CRM.
M-Files for Salesforce CRM includes such features as:
- Bi-directional replication of leads, contacts, opportunities, accounts, cases, and other objects between Salesforce CRM and M-Files.
- Access to Salesforce CRM data from within M-Files and M-Files documents from within Salesforce CRM.
- Text searches of any tag or word contained in any document.
- Support of all file types and Windows applications using standard file “Open” and “Save” commands.
- The ability to “Tag” (or attach) any M-Files document to leads, contacts, opportunities, accounts, cases, and other objects in Salesforce CRM.
- Automatic maintenance of version history for Salesforce CRM objects as well as M-Files documents.
- Offline access to documents and records for mobile workers.
- Secure access permissions that can be set for all documents.
- Workflow and notifications that automate such common business processes as proposal reviews or contract approvals.
- Direct integration with Outlook, SharePoint, and other external systems (such as an ERP or accounting system).
M-Files for Salesforce CRM is immediately available for deployment on AppExchange 2 for as low as $39 per month, per user, or as a paid-up software license in on-premise configurations.
