Robobak ‘Guarantees’ Minimum 4:1 Global Data De-Duplication
Company’s cloud-based, agentless v9 Data Protection Suite promises to “simplify the method of de-duplicating multiple copies of the same file” or the company will gift additional software.
Robobak makes cloud-centric, agentless data protection software designed for remote and branch offices. The company announced last week that it will “guarantee a minimum of a 4:1 global data de-duplication ratio” for companies using Robobak’s v9 Data Protection Suite for data from across any number of locations via the cloud. Robobak’s guarantee covers every kind of data file generated by businesses.
Companies that do not successfully achieve that 4:1 ratio will be given additional software at no additional cost, the company says.
Robobak’s goal with its guarantee offering is to ultimately “simplifying the method of de-duplicating multiple copies of the same file regardless of where those copies are stored and managing the protection of the data through the entire backup and recovery process,” the company states in a recent press release. The company adds that its “agentless functionality” makes it even easier for firms to install and operate the software.
Robobak’s president and CEO Ron Roberts says the company is pledging this performance standard guarantee as a way to convey its “nonsense-free approach” to data protection. “No other company achieves a better data de-duplication rate than Robobak,” he says simply.
The guarantee is part of Robobak’s recently announced “100 percent commitment” program, which is aimed at VARs, MSPs, and end users.

To qualify for the Robobak de-duplication guarantee, companies must purchase a minimum license of one terabyte from a Robobak-authorized channel partner and fill the license to at least 85 percent.
