N-able Launches Online Training to Demystify Managed Services for Partners

New training program offers a free, step-by-step guide to establishing a managed services practice.

N-able Technologies, a provider of network and systems management software and services for managed service providers (MSPs) and IT professionals, has debuted what it claims is a comprehensive online portfolio of self-guided managed services training tools, assessments, instructional guides, and marketing collateral.

Available as part of the Ottawa, Canada-based company’s Web-based Resource Center, Business e-Training Essentials are offered at no cost to new and existing N-able partners and provides a step-by-step online reference guide to developing and enhancing their managed services practice.

Featuring Web tools for automating the creation of managed services programs and promotional brochures, the training solution is self-guided, self-paced and can be completed in less than day, says N-able.

“When it comes to managed services, there are a number of foundational steps that simply cannot be overlooked–especially on the business front,” says Mike Ellison, director, partner development, N-able Technologies. “Our Business e-Training Essentials represents a tremendous breakthrough in our industry, as it walks partners through the discovery process and provides them with the necessary tools, training, know-how, and resources they need to successfully build and enhance their managed services programs.”

Ellison, whose team is responsible for building the Business e-Training Essentials offering, says the online resource is organized into three primary categories to keep partners focused on the areas that matter most: Building the Offering, Training for Sales, Marketing, and Selling the Service. Within each category is a library of videos, interactive training evaluations, instructional lectures, assessment tools, and best practices–many of which are derived from N-able’s proprietary Blueprint for Success training program. Examples of some of the features include:

  • The Feature Catalog
  • Business and Technical Assessment Toolkit
  • Pricing Calculator
  • Step-by-Step Call Guide
  • Flysheet Creator and HTML Teaser-Creator Web Tools
  • Interactive Sales Evaluations
  • Customizable Sales Presentations, Proposals and Service Agreement Templates

“Everyone knows establishing a managed services practice doesn’t happen overnight, but with N-able’s new Business e-Training Essentials we have a proven framework for success to build from,” says Todd Winzenried, president of Netwize Inc., a successful MSP based in Salt Lake City. “Half the battle is knowing where to start–from there it’s a matter of taking the time to define your offering, get your people trained, and develop your collateral–all of which you can do using this system.”

N-able’s Business e-Training Essentials are available to new and existing N-able MSP partners who have purchased a minimum of 100 nodes of N-able’s N-central network and systems management software. Partners who desire additional hands-on training, education, and professional consulting services can speak with their N-able sales representative or contact Mike Ellison directly at mellison@n-able.com.
