How INKY Equips MSPs With Comprehensive Email Security

The company’s targeted approach makes its platform especially appealing to IT services providers.

INKY Technology may be a relative newcomer to the IT channel, but its solution has spent more than a decade in cultivation mode.

The Maryland-based “behavioral” full-spectrum email security solutions firm — a new vendor featured at the ChannelPro LIVE: Orlando event in April — was purpose-built for MSPs. Founded about 12 years ago, the company in the last few years sharpened its focus, adapting its offerings to better meet MSPs’ specific needs, said Matt Waters, head of sales at INKY.

“We’ve been in the channel now for almost three years, but we really put a focus on MSPs at the beginning of last year,” added Waters. “Our product was actually in research and development for quite a while before we thought it was market ready.”

INKY’s platform is an all-encompassing email protection system designed with MSPs in mind. Targeting inbound threats like phishing and spam, the platform also manages outbound emails through advanced encryption and signature management. This ensures that both sides of email communication are secured, a critical aspect for small businesses looking to safeguard their data.

“The MSP product is top notch. We have very few complaints from the product side, which is sometimes rare in the MSP space,” he explained.

A standout feature of INKY’s service is its customizable, white-label email banners. These allow MSPs to brand the security features as their own, providing a seamless experience to their clients. The recent addition of email signature management and security awareness training further enhances INKY’s offering, ensuring MSPs can deliver a comprehensive security strategy that includes educating end-users on identifying potential threats.

Strategic Focus and Industry Integration

INKY tailored its product to align closely with MSP operational needs and address their unique challenges. This is supported by significant partnerships and integrations with industry leaders — like ConnectWise and Gradient MSP PSAs — to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery for IT services providers. INKY also partnered with Wizer on security awareness training and has a few other potential partnerships in the works that Waters declined to name.

These particular stemmed from customer feedback, offering MSPs a way to avoid having three separate vendors for a single line item, Waters explained. Collaborations extend INKY’s capabilities while also embedding the company in the MSP ecosystem.

“INKY’s platform covers all the email security and compliance solutions our customers need,” said Ivan Burkett, director of information technology of GB Tech, in a statement on INKY’s website. “The ability to partner with one vendor for multiple products boosts efficiency and improves our bottom line.”

Reinforcing the need for a comprehensive MSP-tailored email security solution, Waters noted that, “I don’t think there is a true No. 1 MSP email protection product that’s purpose built, or one that’s leading the pack.”

The Power of Listening and Learning

INKY’s evolution reflects a focus on flexibility and a deep understanding of the MSP market. By listening to MSP feedback and continuously adapting its products, INKY aims to stay ahead in the fast-paced email security sector.

INKY’s direction and offerings is a strong testament to the company’s potential to significantly impact how small businesses manage their email security — starting with its current product. “I’ve been in [the MSP] space for probably 15 years … but I’ve never been a part of a company that has this rock solid of a product,” Waters emphasized.

As email threats grow more sophisticated and create more dangers for businesses, INKY’s full-spectrum solutions offer MSPs a powerful tool to enhance their security offerings, ensuring their clients’ digital communications are protected effectively and efficiently.
