N-central 7.2 from N-able Offers Increased IT Automation for MSPs

According to the company, the next-generation managed services platform also offers improved remote control and PSA support.

N-able Technologies is now offering N-central 7.2, a next-generation managed services platform designed to enable MSPs and IT departments with IT automation, as of this week.

Available worldwide to new and existing N-able partners, this remote network and systems management software offers three major feature enhancements including increased IT automation, remote control capabilities, and support for leading professional services automation (PSA) solutions.

More than 210 N-able partners have already downloaded the software upgrade. The new features and benefits of the N-central 7.2 upgrade include:

  • Automatic patch approvals: These reduce costs and complexity around patch management, while the PSA automation allows for bi-directional ticket integration with ConnectWise and Autotask. The integration automates the processes of ticket creation, status updates, suppression of notifications, and ticket closure.
  • Remote control architecture:. The improved remote control functionality offers greater usability for remote sessions, allowing technicians to connect directly to devices using UDP hole punching and support environments where outbound SSH support is not allowed.
  • Software discovery and support tools: This includes a new license key inventory report, compliance report and remote control summary report. With these on-demand reports, MSPs can show prospects and existing customers the health and efficiency of their network in real time, while demonstrating the business value and overall use of their services.
