The data security and management company bolsters support for its VARs.

Irvine, Calif.-based Paragon Software Group, a provider of data security and data management solutions, announced the launch of its new Value Added Reseller (VAR) Portal at Synnex's Varnex Community Conference. The new portal is designed to give registered VARs improved access to all of the tools needed to ensure successful sales and support of its solutions while delivering new revenue opportunities.

The company's new VAR portal will enable Elite and Premium partners to obtain training materials and sales collateral, view event calendars and promotion schedules, register deals, and request MDF all in one place.

Paragon and Varnex share the same goals in fostering a cohesive approach to the small and midsize business (SMB) community through the channel, says Paragon, including sharing best practices, connecting partners, services, support, expertise, and capabilities, with the goal of making profitable business growth possible.

"In these economic times, we are seeing our competitors either dramatically scaling back or even discontinuing their channel programs," notes Steve Young, Paragon's channel sales director. "As clearly demonstrated by our investment and participation at Varnex, Paragon is implementing the opposite strategy--our new VAR portal offers improved support for our partners and further underscores our continuing commitment to the channel."

The company says it is focused on VARs selling to SMB and mid-enterprise markets, and that its channel program is well suited to VARs offering infrastructure design and implementation services, as well as VARs focused on data-critical verticals such as finance, healthcare, government, and education.
