ChannelPro SMB Forums in D.C. and Los Angeles to Offer MSP-Ignite Peer Group Meetings

MSP-Ignite, a peer group facilitator and business consultancy, is hosting an open peer group session at ChannelPro’s Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles events for IT integrators, managed services providers, consultants, and VARs. By ChannelPro

The ChannelPro Network is pleased to announce a new collaboration with peer group facilitator MSP-Ignite for its two upcoming ChannelPro SMB Forum events in the Washington, D.C., area on September 7-8 and in Los Angeles on November 2-3. MSP-Ignite will host an open peer group meeting for ChannelPro SMB Forum attendees as well as MSP-Ignite peers on the pre-day at each location.

The two-day in-person ChannelPro SMB Forum event series features workshops and educational sessions presented by industry-leading experts and channel professionals designed to provide actionable, business-building advice for attendees. ChannelPro’s D.C. and Los Angeles events are the last of this year’s six-city, in-person regional conference tour.

“Bringing MSP-Ignite to our September and November events is a great opportunity for ChannelPro SMB Forum attendees to do even more peer networking at our two-day conferences,” says Michael Siggins, president and publisher of The ChannelPro Network. “We are looking forward to welcoming current MSP-Ignite members to the ChannelPro fold and are confident that our forum attendees will benefit by experiencing a formal peer group meeting on the pre-day.”

MSP-Ignite was founded in 2009 by Steve Alexander (pictured), who has built and sold two MSPs of his own and has been involved in several dozen M&A transactions.

“Hallway chats and impromptu meetings over lunch have always been the hallmark of industry events, so our goal at the ChannelPro SMB Forum is to build on that by giving attendees a more formal peer group experience,” says Alexander, president and facilitator. “Peer groups give MSPs an opportunity to discuss issues such as growth strategies, exit strategies, legacy planning, staffing challenges, cybersecurity concerns, and how to get through a business issue they’re struggling with. It’s a place where they can be strategic in their thought process rather than reactionary or tactical.”

Adds Alexander, “We’ve learned that we can bring peer sessions to an event like ChannelPro’s where that impromptu chat is facilitated in a guided fashion to get even more value out of it. Our goal is to make sure that everyone who attends, particularly those who may not already be part of a formal peer group, feel like they got real value from our three hours together.”

The MSP-Ignite peer group on the pre-day at both D.C. and Los Angeles ChannelPro SMB Forum events will be followed by a sales and marketing workshop hosted by Dell Expert Network. The workshop includes a Dell Solutions showcase of their latest technology and a $1,000 cash giveaway.

The pre-day concludes with a networking reception.

The main day includes a line-up of educational sessions addressing the top issues MSPs care about—recruiting and hiring, security, growth strategies, and making money with Microsoft Azure. The sessions are delivered in interactive, informative, and fun-filled formats attendees won’t find at any other industry event. In addition, a social media workshop led by experts from channel legend Janet Schijns’ JS Group will offer attendees proven, practical techniques used by social selling masters. Attendees also have an opportunity to browse the vendor showcase.
