With Microsoft’s retirement of Windows 10 support looming on October 14, 2025, D&H Distributing is stepping up to help partners and SMBs tackle the massive refresh cycle ahead. In this ChannelPro interview with D&H, Greg King, vice president of personal systems, and Shawnyce Hart, HP sales manager, outlined how the company’s Device Refresh Program is designed to guide solution providers through this transition.
Hart explained that the program focuses on moving clients from aging Windows 10 systems to modern Windows 11 PCs, including new Copilot+ AI-enabled devices. By upgrading, partners not only mitigate security and compatibility risks but also empower customers with enhanced performance, improved battery life, and access to modern collaboration and AI tools. The initiative is structured to unlock revenue opportunities for MSPs through hardware sales, services, and subscriptions, while also boosting customer satisfaction with white-glove lifecycle support.
King emphasized D&H’s consultative approach, leveraging its professional services team, Microsoft specialists, and ready-to-use playbooks to simplify refresh rollouts. Partners receive guidance on device selection, deployment automation with tools like Autopilot, and hands-on training through D&H’s Success Path program. He also highlighted the “Go Big with AI” campaign, which helps partners demystify AI PCs, monetize opportunities in vertical markets, and co-market solutions alongside vendors
According to Hart, real-world results are already visible. She shared a success story from a Windows 11 Device Refresh roadshow in Chicago, where a reseller leveraged AMD solutions to secure a breakthrough enterprise opportunity with 4,500 employees.
Looking ahead, D&H sees a long runway for device refreshes, estimating 17 million PCs in North America still in need of upgrades. With ongoing events like the THREAD partner summit and continued AI enablement, the company is positioning its partners not only to manage the Windows 10 end-of-life refresh cycle, but also to futureproof client environments in an AI-driven era.
