Solid-state storage provider NexGen Storage has introduced a Performance Guarantee to the channel. Under the terms of the offer, NexGen guarantees that it will “improve performance per rack unit or capacity density versus any other storage system,” according to a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.com.
“NexGen’s PCIe-Hybrid architecture and ioControl Operating Environment enables us to offer this solid-state performance guarantee,” says NexGen vice president of marketing Chris McCall. “With NexGen storage, SMBs can be assured they will have the performance they need, 24/7, even in the most demanding mixed workload environments.”
According tot NexGen, the guarantee stems from the company’s own PCIe solid-state architecture, which it says was built “to eliminate bottlenecks and maximize solid-state performance.”
“Customers benefit from maximum performance while boosting the number of slots available for low cost capacity disk drives,” the company states.
In addition to delivering more performance or capacity, NexGen’s ioControl Operating Environment aims to enable SMBs to manage performance just like capacity. “NexGen offers both Storage QoS for managing performance and Service Levels to ensure mission-critical application performance no matter what happens,” the company says.
