Channel partners of D&H Distributing have a new tool for their mobile devices. The distributor has developed an iPhone and iPod touch app to enable partners to place orders online.
The D&H App is designed to be a feature-rich, easy-to-navigate solution, according to the distributor. “Via the app, D&H customers can browse and search D&H’s entire product catalog,” the company states in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB, “including computer and networking products, consumer electronics gear, home entertainment, and home networking products, and gaming equipment.”
The D&H App enables resellers to securely place orders, view product availability, and search for products by scanning a UPC barcode. They can access popular features from the D&H website, including the customer’s “Watchlist” as well as the customer’s order tracking and order history functions. Users can browser by category, manufacturer, or keyword. They can view product details, images, and inventory.
“Business is no a longer stationary process,” says Jeff Davis, D&H’s senior vice president of sales. “It is being conducted while employees are out-and-about—in vehicles, at home and everywhere in between. Therefore, it’s exciting to be able to empower our resellers with a mobile ordering capability.”
