Paragon Software Group, a data backup and recovery provider, has released Paragon Partition Manager 12. Compatible with all new hard drive technologies and designed to handle all PC data partitioning tasks, Paragon Partition Manager 12 supports GPT partitioning schemes and all major file systems, as well as supporting Windows 8.
Expanded split and merge functions enable users to allocate specific files and folders to new partitions before performing the operation. Paragon Partition Manager 12 is useful in conversions between partition schemes and file systems, including HTFS to HFS and vice versa, without losing data, and supports UEFI installations of operating systems.
New functions include:
- Paragon GPT Loader, which expands the Windows XP operating system by adding support fr the GPT partitioning scheme
- Boot Media Builder to create a user-specified Windows-based rescue CD
- Connect VD with non-destructive and snapshot mode to mount virtual hard drives directly
