WatchGuard Technologies, a security provider, has launched a new version of WatchGuard Fireware XTM. WatchGuard Fireware XTM 11.6 includes performance and management enhancements that help administrators define, review, and enforce network policies.
New features include:
- Simple definition of user rules in Citrix and Terminal Services
- Authentication improvements
- Updated in the cloud
- Scalability and performance, increasing firewall throughput
- Compliance reporting
- Increased VLANs
- VPN diagnosis improvements
- Preview of policy enhancements, including online policy checker, policy views, and LDAP
The new version of WatchGuard Fireware XTM also allows the user authentication auto redirect page to be configured to point to a specified hostname. WebBlocker URL database updates are scheduled to occur automatically, and IPSec passthrough works with static NAT.
