Digital Planet Communications, a communications services firm, is seeking acquisition targets in the technology solution provider space. Digital Planet is planning to offer complete end-to-end converged data managed solutions and is looking to acquire IT service providers.
Digital Planet’s goal is to blend voice and data networks, telephony equipment, and IT in one converged managed solution. The company is seeking VARs and integrators who are providing communications technology that resides on a LAN/WAN, but doesn’t/doesn’t plan to provide or manage the LAN/WAN.
“There are good companies out there, with good employees, and for one reason or another they are not be able to evolve to the new economy, to the new technical world, without a catalyst for change. Digital Planet is looking for these good companies to bring them into our culture, to our process and knowledge base,” says Brent Killen, Vice President of Digital Planet. “The trick is to find these good companies when they are past the denial stage, but have not yet reached the end of the road. That specific period of time when a company is losing customers and sees the need to evolve, however doesn’t have the tools, financial resources or skill set to execute. That is the ideal window of time, but if the company waits too long, there is little chance to save it.”
