Emerson Network Power, an infrastructure provider, has launched the DCF Optimized Rack System for data centers. The pre-engineered rack system provides an efficient method for managing 19-inch servers and other rack-based IT equipment for data centers of all sizes.
The rack enclosure is designed to accommodate frequent equipment changes. Ideal for SMB data centers, the DCF optimized rack offers standardization with simple hardware installation. The DCF rack’s power distribution units can be pre-installed at the factory, saving the time and effort normally required for installation on-site.
Liebert MPH, Liebert MPX or Knurr DI-Strip rack PDUs are available in a variety of power configurations and can install in many places in the rack, including Zero-U space. The DCF rack system is available in eight standard sizes, including heights of 42U and 48U with widths of 23 and 31 inches (600 and 800mm) and depths of 43 and 47 inches (1,100 and 1,200mm).
Front and rear quick-release doors are 75 percent perforated to provide maximum airflow to internal equipment. †All doors and side panels include keyed locks for security. The racks also offer low-profile casters that enable easy relocation, with the 42U rack sized to fit through standard-sized doorways.
The DCF rack comes with multiple accessories, including cable management products, PDU mountain brackets, fixed and telescopic shelves, and a full range of Liebert environmental sensors. Available immediately in North America, full production release will be in select countries in 2012.
